For new developers setting up their development environment for the renting website prototype, it is essential to install a list of Python packages that the system depends on. These packages provide the necessary functionality for database interaction, data manipulation, machine learning algorithms, and more.
Below is the list of required packages with a brief description of their purpose within the renting website prototype:
psycopg2¶
This package provides a Python adapter for PostgreSQL. It’s used for all database interactions within the application, including queries and updates.
pandas¶
A powerful data manipulation and analysis library. It’s utilized for handling dataframes and performing data processing tasks.
scikit-learn¶

To install these packages, you’ll need to use pip, the package installer for Python. Within your virtual environment, execute the following command:
pip install -r requirements.txt
This command will automatically download and install all the packages listed in your requirements.txt file. Your requirements.txt should include all of the packages listed above.
